Ether 11
In this chapter we see the patience of the Lord with His people. They continually fell in to wickedness (or more so jumped into it. It seemed a very purposeful choice, not an accident) and numerous times the Lord sent prophets to testify and warn the people.
When they listened they were blessed, when they didn't they weren't. Again, it's one of those things that seems so clear as we read it in bulk. It makes me wonder how our history will look to the saints in the future. Make no mistake, it's being recorded as scripture somewhere, and someday someone will read it and think, "Man, those saints in the last days had it rough." Will we like those in the past that have remained strong and stalwart? Or will we fall by the wayside in sin?
