Suit Yourself Saturday- 2 John 3:6

2 John 3:6:  And this is love, that we walk after his commandments...

The Savior Himself has said, If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Sometimes I see love as a teeter totter, which ever thing we love most is on top.  When we love the Savior most, we put keeping His commandments over our own desires and worldly loves.

People fear losing themselves when they give themselves over to the Savior, but they miss the fact that only then can they love themselves the way the He loves us.

  2. You don't choose your family. They are God's gift to you, as you are to them. ~Desmond Tutu

At times, I have to step back and think that the struggles are simply opportunities for improvement on all sides. Some days it is easier than others.

  3. I would like to share an experience I had this week where the Holy Ghost testified to me again of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. After reading one of the chapters this week I was having a discussion with my husband about why it is that some people will not accept the Book of Mormon as the truth. I was holding the book in my hand as we talked, and as I looked down at its cover, an amazing feeling filled my soul. The Holy Ghost filled my heart and spirit with the greatest feeling, the feeling of truth, the feeling of God's love, the feeling of happiness, the feeling of upliftment. I wanted it to stay with me for a long time it felt so good. I knew that the book was true. Reading a chapter every day has really strengthened my testimony and brought the spirit into my life again, as I had another experience this week through music where the spirit testified to me again that Christ is real, that he lives and that he is the way back to our Father in Heaven. So thankful for the gift of the Holy Ghost. :)
