Not much today...
I read this and couldn't help but think of the servant of Helaman. What courage! He took the risk and because of this, Helaman's life was spared.
I hope I have that kind of courage. I don't want to be a double agent though!

It amazes me how manipulative people understand the power of flattery to get their way. It's important to praise others for jobs well done. We have to be wise and not say things to get our own way- that actually turns into being a sin.
ReplyDeleteHelaman's servant was a brave soul alright. I think he also demonstrated great loyalty. He was truly going the extra mile in looking after his master. I think that he would have really cared for Helaman, or he would not have risked his life for him.
ReplyDeleteIt is too bad that his servant didn't get a chance to kill Gadianton as well, for as it says in verse 13, Gadianton played a very big part in the destruction of the Nephites. Its amazing how one bad person can have such a big effect on people. Then again it works both ways, for one really good person can have a big effect on many people too. That is why we need to be good examples always, for we never know who we may affect.
