Sorry again!
Short but sweet chapter. It contains two songs of praise and thanksgiving for the millennial time.
Verse 3 touched me: ...with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.
I love visual cues, and this one worked for me. Salvation is so large, so massive, so deep, that I cannot fully comprehend it in its entirety. But, I can draw out a cup full here, a pitcher there, and sometimes even a sip now and then as I am learning more about the gospel and truly what salvation means.
The part that spoke to me today was.... I will trust and not be afraid.
ReplyDeleteThere are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many things that can create fear in my life. Scared for my children and the challenges of young-adulthood. It was so much easier, though I didn't realize it, when they were young. Now there are a whole host of possible issues.
Fear about our country and the state of the world. Read any news article or turn on the television. If you aren't seeing the signs of the latter-day prophecies you have to be blind!
Recognizing that our government is passing laws to completely do away with our freedoms and even consider us "terrorist-suspects" for following the prophet and having food storage!
Yes. It is a scary world we live in. But if we rely on the Lord as our strength and keep all our decisions within the guidelines the spirit confirms.... we do not need to fear! What a blessing peace is during these trying times. I have those "moments" when fear takes over, but thankfully, they are moments.... not hours, days or a state of being. For this I am SO grateful!!!
