Chapter 16

Isaiah sees the Lord—Isaiah’s sins are forgiven—He is called to prophesy—He prophesies of the rejection by the Jews of Christ’s teachings—A remnant will return—Compare Isaiah 6. About 559–545 B.C.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm- I feel like Jeff Probst when he says, "I got nothin' for ya." I echo the words of Angie last week, I'm sure I'll be  blessed just for being obedient in reading :)   (Don't judge, just love)

What did you think/learn today?

  1. I read it several times, looking for something profound.... I finally found it.... "And I said: Here am I, send me."

Sometimes it is a prompting. Sometimes it's an in-your-face command. Sometimes my reaction is a crinkled nose and "really?" because it doesn't make sense, but I do it anyway because it is actually a precursor to something else coming along later.

I know I need to stand ready at all times to be obedient when the Lord calls because I can never be sure when that's going to happen.

  3. Awe.... you are welcome. And.... of course... this thought proved true in my life once again today. Should I go to lunch? Nah. Yeah you should. Crinkled nose- Fine ok. Went to lunch. Very grateful at 4 pm, 6 pm, and even at 930 pm that I was simply obedient to the prompting and went to lunch cause there was a whole lotta "no dinner" until very, very late!
