2 Nephi 15

Chapter 15

The Lord’s vineyard (Israel) will become desolate, and his people will be scattered—Woes will come upon them in their apostate and scattered state—The Lord will lift an ensign and gather Israel—Compare Isaiah 5. About 559–545 B.C.

One more week of Isaiah.  We can do this :)

I have a quote written next to verse 13: "A man is saved no faster than he has knowledge." Joseph Smith

We were intelligences before we were spirits and mortals. It makes sense that it is our intelligence that will save us.  As we grown in knowledge, our testimony changes, our perspective changes, our character changes.  We become more like our Father in Heaven and our Savior.  We become more perfect than we are know.

I also wonder if Nephi smiled as he engraved verse 21 onto the plates- did he think of Laman and Lemuel? Did he show this scripture to them and tell them- "Hey, watch it" ? They were very guilty of thinking they were wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight.

What did you think/learn today?

  2. I smiled when I read the comment "Isaiah, we can do this".

When it come to Isaiah, I am not sure. I AM sure that obedience brings the blessing of heaven.
    Isaiah, here I come.

  3. Taking Isaiah literally.... I was thinking about my garden. All the work that NEEDS to go into it vs what I actually PUT into it. Protecting it. Feeding it. Pruning. Weeding. All the things that are necessary to TRY and produce a good crop. It's like anything else, we get out of it what we put into it. Garden, scriptures, relationships, etc.
