Wow. A small word to describe this chapter. This is what men become when they are under the complete influence of the adversary. He really has no feeling, no love, no joy, and no desire for any good. The reality of his mission to kill us all hit me this morning.
But I'm not scared.
I love the words of Ether at the end: Whether the Lord will that I be translated, or that i suffer the will of the Lord in the flesh, it mattereth not, if it so be that I am saved in the Kingdom of God."
That's true eternal perspective.
In these Last Days, the adversary is getting a more firm hold on the hearts of many men, but, it mattereth not to me. If I keep true to the covenants I have made, I will be saved. That's all that matters.
