Short and sweet today:
Pride is the root of all evil. Isn't that what they say? It has the power to blind the eyes, harden the heart, and destroy the soul. And yet, it is probably the most wide-spread sin. Jacob makes it very clear here that it's to be purged.
I love how the Lord cares for His daughters. His love and esteem for them is obvious, especially in this chapter. I love Him even more for that.

This chapter helps me to be even more grateful for my sweet husband. My thoughts also go to Pres. Benson & his conference talk on pride.

The proud don't find enjoyment in their possessions, they find joy in having more of it than another man. Likewise, the proud don't find sorrow in their lack of possessions, rather they find sadness in having less of if than the next man.
