2 Nephi 28

Verse 32:  . . . for mine arm is lengthened out all the day long...

I love that! Despite all the things the Savior knows the people will do during these last days, He still is merciful, and lovingly offers the saving effects of the atonement to them.

To us.

A couple times in here it talks about how people will say they don't want more.  I have heard that from people before--how they believe the heavens are closed, and God doesn't speak to us any longer. Some of them are even okay with that, saying all they need is in the Bible. They don't want more scripture. Crazy!

It's exciting to know that we have His word, now, and that He will continue to teach us and inspire us line upon line.

He wants us to learn. He wants us to understand. He wants us to know WHY we are here and WHAT we can do now to experience the greatest degree of growth and joy.

He wants us to have His perspective and characteristics.

And He is here, now, offering all of that to anyone--ANYONE--who is willing to listen and partake!

We had a great Stake Conference focused on temple and missionary work. I am even more excited to share this message with people around me.

God does talk to us now. The heavens are opened.  He hears us. And He has a plan.

Could there be anything more important that we could share?

  1. I am so grateful to God for providing "opportunities" in my life to grow, learn, stretch, & become more humble, even tho I don't like it, I know it is for my benefit and learning.
this chapter prophesies to well our day.

  2. I was touched by the line upon line, precept upon precept. God doesn't expect us to get the whole thing in one sitting. He understands, especially for me, that we learn step by step. The great thing is that we get to keep learning and growing. It is wonderful to know that as we progress, we get more knowledge added! Once we think we know it all... well then we have apparently stepped over into the wrong side of pride, because there is always more to learn.

  3. In light of the new pope being appointed today, the analysis that is given on religion in our day is pretty fascinating.
