The story of the brother of Jared was sealed up until men walked the earth once again that had faith as he did. We have the record, so that tells us there are men- and women- that have exceeding great faith.
That's exciting. It's exciting to me because I believe in the concept that faith preceded the miracle. If there are men and women of faith, then there are miracles.
The Book of Mormon is a miracle in and of itself. But there are others miracles all around. I've seen them and felt them in my life. And, even though the wickedness is getting worse in the days, righteousness and faith are growing stronger. And miracles will continue to happen.

I caught up on 3-4 this morning. The example of the Brother of Jared that always gets me is that he didn't think he could do things, but when he finally worked it out in his own mind, then he would go to the Lord. Like the stones to light the barges.

B of J- but I don't know how.
God- figure it out.
B of J - but I'm not worthy.
God - You can do it.
Then... he did. And because of his Faith. God blessed him even more than he could imagine. It wasn't about the stones, it was about his need to stand up and figure things out and THEN go ask for confirmation.
Unless we spend some times preparing, before we ask the questions, we haven't done our part. And yes, at times, we just have to turn it all over to God and follow the promptings as they come. That's another type of obedience.
