A lot of time passed in this little book.The picture here, at least for me, starts to get big here--from a small family to a great people. There were wars and missionary work happening.
It's hard for me to grasp what it really might have been like for them in their daily lives. I hope someday I'll be able to catch a glimpse of it. Until then, it is enough for me to understand the lessons they are trying to teach me: Be obedient and be prepared! (verse 9)

The most important vs in this chapter to me is, "inasmuch as ye keep my commandments ye shall prosper in the land".
