Enos

Enos!  I love his story!

I love how he had so much faith in God that when the Lord told Enos he was forgiven, Enos believed him, for he knew God could not lie.

Oh if it were that easy to let go of our own negative feelings!

It seems the key is to trust in the Lord.

  1. Two things... Enos prayed more for the records to be saved than the people. Although he kept trying to save the people, it's almost like he knew that was pretty hopeless in the end.

Second... the last verse created a touching image for me. "Come unto me, ye blessed, there is a place prepared for you in the mansions of my Father." I can just imagine the Savior standing there, arms open in welcome, inviting us in. Showing us around and giving us the "key" to our new home. Similar to feeling when we have someone come home and we are so happy to see them and welcome them back. I know it will be a joyous moment.

  2. What I find amazing is how you could see Jacob's character in Enos, by the words Enos spoke. Compare Enos verse 11 with Jacob 7:5 to see how they both describe their faith. I love the word they use! It's nice to see a righteous father teach his child, and have the child hold firm to those teachings.
