2 Nephi 11
Read Online
Day 5 in bed with the flu. Tough week. Maybe that's why this chapter seems so sweet to me. It's full of peace and promise.
I love you Nephi refers to Jesus Christ as MY Savior. Not The, but My. He understood that the Savior died not just for a collection or group of people, but individuals. For himself.
It reminds me to look at MY Savior that way. He knows me. He knows I'm sick. He knows what I need. He can give me the strength to get well. He can forgive me. Only He can save me.
A sweet reminder for me today.

You have been in my prayers. I hope you are feeling better day by day.
ReplyDeleteThe thing that struck me, I guess I had forgotten or didn't know, is that both Nephi and Jacob saw the Savior. I wonder what calling or level of righteousness gets to have that experience?
Just a sweet testimony of the love for the Savior in this chapter, one we can all work towards.
I live this chapter of "delight"....a reminder of the creation by Christ under the Fathers direction.
ReplyDeleteThe 3 witnesses on verse 3 ....very cool.
Michelle you will now have natural immunity to this strain of the flu. FYI- this year flu shots haven't prevented the flu nor it severity. Scott & I had it too at Thanksgiving...not fun. But God taught me some valuable lessons.
