Alma 41

Read online here:

I love the term 'the plan of restoration.' To me it is broader than simply resurrection. We know that all of us will be resurrected, regardless of how righteous or wicked we may be. It is a gift given to us via the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Some may question, as Corianton might have, that if a resurrection is guaranteed regardless of our spiritual state, then why put forth such effort to be faithful.

The answer can be found in D&C 88:28-32, where we learn that the degree of glory of the resurrected body is dependent upon the degree of faithfulness of each individual."

Liken it to light bulbs. We will all become 'light bulbs' in the end, but the brightness of our perfected light bulb later is determined by our righteousness now.

How brightly do you want to shine? How much light do you want to have eternally?

Verse 15 says, "For that which ye do send out shall return unto you once again."

The more goodness that we illuminate here, the brighter our restoration will be there.
